Biofeedback

Biofeedback can be used when a client is having difficulty getting the right feeling for an exercise. We can do biofeedback via real time ultrasound, or via a sensor that transmits electrical signals from your body to a machine to be measured. In this way, biofeedback can be used to up-train or down-train muscles.

Some muscles are much easier to learn to control than others - many of the smaller muscles in our trunk or pelvis that are used for postural control are not normally under voluntary control. Learning to use these muscles can be a daunting task, so the biofeedback can help to make this easier.
