Nedy is passionate about helping her clients gain insight into their problems and then helping them to learn how to move forwards to realize their full potential. Nedy knows that when people are in pain or having challenges with regards to mental health, it can seem as though there is no hope. However, after many years of caring for people going through hard times, she is optimistic that it is possible for her clients to improve with appropriate guidance and support. She is inspired by seeing her clients getting back to enjoying their lives again!

Nedy has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and is registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who has been practicing for over 25 years in a variety of mental health settings. She has a lot of experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, stress and work related issues, eating disorders, persistent pain and chronic illness.

In addition to individual therapy. she has also facilitated psychoeducational/therapy groups as part of her role as a counsellor. In Ontario, she spent several years developing and leading a program for individuals with eating disorders.

Nedy uses a variety of techniques to help her clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Interpersonal Therapy. She believes in the benefit of collaborative practice; she empowers her clients by giving them access to a variety of tools, skills and education within a supportive therapeutic relationship.
