Pelvic Health Conditions we Treat

Many men and women have experienced health challenges that impact the pelvic girdle area. This can include pelvic girdle pain conditions like sacroiliac or pubic symphysis dysfunction, visceral pain conditions like endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome or interstitial cystitis or functional problems like weakness in the abdominal wall or incontinence/prolapse/hernia. Many people also have experienced pain with intercourse or vulvar pain disorders.

Many times treatment for is delayed due to delay in diagnosis. This can be due to lack of understanding of the conditions by general practitioners who (in most cases) have had very limited exposure or education regarding these challenges. Often patients live with pelvic conditions for years before telling their doctors or health care providers that they are having a problem. When they do seek help, sometimes their provider is unfamiliar with the problem or doesn't have the expertise to suggest appropriate treatments which can promote long wait times before high quality treatment is offered.

The good news is that though conditions impacting this part of the body are sometimes difficult to talk about and to diagnose, they are often possible to treat successfully, or at least manage well. At Engage Health, we have created a private and respectful environment for you to get help for your problem. We will teach you strategies to manage your problem better and get back to enjoying your life!

All of your personal information is strictly confidential and we will treat you with dignity and respect. We know that seeking help for these challenges can be daunting so we will do everything we can to make you comfortable.

Some of the conditions we treat are listed below, but we also have the expertise to treat other conditions that aren't listed. If you are not sure if we can help with your problem, please call us at (250) 372-1529 or send us an email to inquire!
